Schedule for Earl's Memorial Service (10 October to 12 October)

This memo contains the current schedule and other information for the entire weekend.

It will probably not change drastically, but ain't nothing final until the weekend is over!

Overall schedule (entire weekend).

  • Saturday evening, 5:30 - 7:00. Dinner in Newton, for close friends and family.

  • Saturday night, 7:00- 10:00. Visiting hours (sitting Shiva) for anyone who wants to visit. Leftover food

  • Sunday early afternoon. Informal meet up at 1489. Maybe some food, but maybe not. People can coordinate rides, etc.

  • Sunday evening, 4:30-7:30. Memorial service at Museum of Science (see schedule below)

  • Sunday night, 8:30-10:30. Reception for those interested in coming. Light refreshments.

  • Monday morning, 10:00 - 11:30. Light brunch for close friends and family.

  • Note: the website will only mention the Saturday night (7:00-10:00) sitting Shiva, the Sunday evening (Museum of science) service, and the Sunday night (after service at 1489) reception.

    Everything else will by word of mouth.

    6:15 - service ends
    6:15 - 7:30. food and mingle
    7:30 - 8:30.- people head to newton
    8:30 . room closes

    Notes on food:

     

    Saturday dinner food in Newton (most of it from whole foods). Responsibility: Debby

    Saturday dinner for family and close friends. After the dinner (7:00-10:00) PM food will be whatever is leftover from this dinner

  • broocoli rabe, collard greens
  • some sushi ( fish and veggy)
  • vegetarian kosher knishes ( kasha, veggy, sweet potato, spinach)

  • cake (exact variety to be determined)
  • probably some ice cream

  • possibly other dishes that guests may bring on their own initiative
